A bidding war and the Pig Flu...
...my two worst enemies! Our "best and final" offer is officially "in" on a house we have fallen hard for. But then, "surprise!",  we get to compete with six other "potential buyers" who have also placed their bids. Someone shoot me. The anxiety is going to kill me eventually anyway!
So you would think that someone in my situation could really use a vay-cay, right? Well thats not what the Department of Health Services thinks. So instead of sailing to a sunny Mexican retreat, we are going to be taking a few laps around the open ocean. Someone get me a drink, STAT.

Decisions, decisions...
We thought we found "the house", then we decided that it "just didn't fee right". Then we found a different one...but the cost of repairs would drain us financially. Now we think we found another, but this one is minus a garage (a pretty big deal). I am thrilled to actually have choices, but it has left me emotionally exhausted. I am so ready to make an offer, but there is always that nagging feeling that there may be something else out there...

Waiting

I finally got my pretty blue Kaiser card in the mail yesterday! I must admit that I like to think of it as a "license" to hump :). I am so ready to actually try. I feel like we have been waiting forever! May just can't come soon enough.
But before all of that, I am going to enjoy one more completely selfish long weekend courtesy of Carnival Cruise Lines :) Just 2 more weeks... then it two sheets the wind!

Stress? Yes! House? No.
Ok, I know I have said it before but... HOUSE HUNTING SUCKS HARDCORE! Why did I think this would be fun? And why did I tell my family? Apparently I come from a long line of undercover real estate experts. Who knew! My mother has no idea what a short sale is, yet she is pretty sure that my REA is trying to screw us. Naturally.
In baby news:
I recently applied for the most comprehensive/expensive insurance plan I could find. The Kaiser $25 copay/ 0 deductible plan. MMMM... it makes me tingle all over. I knew I wanted Kaiser because they just built the most beautiful new L & D hospital like a mile from my house. Well, I finally got my "acceptance letter". I applied for it to go into effect on the 15th, but "the man" decided I didn't need health care until May 1st. It has been really dehumanizing waiting for a piece of paper to tell me when I can begin breeding. So I guess my original TTC start date still stands. May 18.
